King Kong was a professional wrestler from 1937 until 1956. His real name was Emile Czaja (last name pronounced as "Shya").

At 6 ft (185 cm) and over 400 lbs (28 stone, 8 lbs or 182 kg), King Kong started his professional career in India in 1937. He was given the name "King Kong" after playing the part of King Kong in an Indian movie.

King Kong wrestled mostly in Japan, Singapore, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia. In pro-wrestling his arch rival was Sheik Ali (Wadi Ayoub).

He settled down in Australia after he married Ellie in 1956.

However, he continued his pro-wrestling career using Sydney as his headquarters. He wrestled Lou Thesz for the world title in Singapore.

King Kong was very popular wrestler in India and the far eastern countries and drew a big crowd whenever he wrestled there.

King Kong died in Singapore in a car crash in 1970 on his way to a wrestling match.
