King George VI Falls

King George VI Falls is located on the Courantyne River in southern Guyana. With a height of 488 metres (1,600 feet) it is the 19th highest waterfall in the world.
Also known as Salto Oshi the falls has a sheer plunge of approximately 160 metres (525 feet). The falls were reportedly discovered in 1938 by Danish scientist Paul A. Zaul.
