King Abdulaziz City for Science & Technology

King Abdulaziz City for Science & Technology (KACST) (Arabic: مدينة الملك عبدالعزيز للعلوم والتقنية), located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is an organization established in 1977 as the Saudi Arabian National Center for Science & Technology (SANCST); it was renamed in 1985 King Abdulaziz City for Science & Technology.

In 1984 it named Abdul Rahman Al-Athel as its President.

The research complex is divided into the following research institutes:

  • Computer and Electronics Research Institute
  • Petroleum and Petrochemical
  • Energy Research
  • Resource and Development
  • Astronomy and Geophysics
  • Space Research
