King's Hospital School is a Church of Ireland fee-paying co-educational school, with over seven hundred pupils, almost half of whom are boarders. It was founded in 1669 as The Hospital and Free School of King Charles II. The school is on a hundred acre site on the banks of the River Liffey in Palmerstown, close to Dublin city centre. It offers a full range of extra-curricular, cultural and sporting activities, and has a strong academic record.
