The King's Cup is an international football competition held in Thailand. It has been played annually since 1968, with the exception of 1983 and 1985. In some years, the competition has featured club or invitational teams as well as international sides.
The most recent King's Cup was held in December 2006 with four teams: Thailand, Kazakhstan, Singapore and Vietnam. It was originally intended that the competition would also include a second Thai selection, and the Malaysia, Indonesia and Myanmar teams, but on 8 November 2006 the Football Association of Thailand decided to reduced the number of teams to four due to scheduling problems.[1]
