Kindle County
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kindle County is a fictional county located in the Midwestern United States. It is based strongly on Chicago and Cook County, Illinois. Kindle County was created by Scott Turow and is the setting for all of his novels. Additionally, films based on his works are also set in Kindle County. Though most of the novels do not identify a particular state with Kindle County, a serialized version of Limitations, which was printed in the New York Times Magazine identified Kindle County as being in Illinois. The film Presumed Innocent was filmed in Detroit, so many recognizable Detroit landmarks appear in Kindle County in that film.
