"Kind & Generous" is a song by Natalie Merchant and the first single from her second solo album Ophelia. This song became Natalie's most popular song to date[citation needed] and is often used as a song of gratitude, the song is as well played at graduations[citation needed].
It is also played in The Office when Michael Scott leaves for a corporate interview.
[edit] Music video
The music video made for this song features Natalie as part of a travelling circus and taking on many guises. The circus performers were actual performers from the local area and the little girl was the daughter of the proprietor/showperson. The music video was filmed in one day in a meadow near where the circus was performing. This is noticeable as the music video begins at dawn and ends at dusk.[1]
