KINTEX, the Korea International Exhibition Center, is located in Goyang's West Ilsan District. It is a three-storey building on a 224,800m² plot of land between Ilsan's central road, Chungangno, and the Han River. The building, which can hold 5 tons per m², opened on April 29, 2005. Shortly after opening, it hosted the 2005 Seoul Motor Show.

KINTEX has five exhibition halls, two meeting rooms, a ballroom, an event hall and three outdoor exhibition areas. The current president is Kim Inshik.

KINTEX is served by the Uijeongbu and Songpo Dong airport limousine buses and is also in walking distance of Daehwa Station on Line 3 of the Seoul Subway.
