KINF (1440 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a News Talk Information format. Licensed to Santa Maria, California, USA, it serves the San Luis Obispo area. The station is currently owned by Knight Broadcasting, Inc. 1440 had previously been the frequency of KUHL, which has now been reassigned as a repeater station for KINF to the Lompoc Valley at 1410 am. It is one of two stations in the S.L.O. county area which carries Paul Harvey News & Rest Of The Story (the other is 1230 am KPRL). KINF/KUHL used to carry Rush Limbaugh's syndicated program but lost a bitter contest with Santa Maria rival 1240 am (owned by Clear Channel) to continue carrying the program.
