AWM Caption: Lake Boga, Vic. August 1942. At No. 1 Flying Boat Repair Depot RAAF, a Vought Sikorsky Kingfisher two seat reconnaissance seaplane overflys a similar aircraft on the tarmac. These aircraft, acquired from the United States were extensively used for searching for Japanese submarines in Australian coastal waters.
