- {{subst:w-basic}} is the basic vanilla template.
- {{subst:w-basic|message}} gives the appropriate message.
- {{subst:w-basic|I hope this welcome offsets the rather brusque warning about inappropriate pages below! If your page is deleted, you might like to have a look at [[WP:WMD|this page]] which may suggest why. One of the most frequent reasons for deletion is that a subject fails to meet [[WP:N|these criteria]] for notability. Alternatively, a notable subject may just not be properly [[WP:V|verified]] with in-line [[WP:CITE|citations]]. There are some really helpful suggestions about [[WP:YFA|drafting]], [[WP:BETTER|improving]] and [[WP:TPA|perfecting]] articles at the blue links shown.
