I tagged this article with the POV tag. The demise of Daewoo is widely known to be connected with over enthusiastic merger and acquisitions coupled with massive accounting fraud. There is overwhelming evidence, including a personal confession, that Kim Woo-jung was the driving force behind this outrageous fraud. But this article merely makes an oblique reference to a "hollow" financial footing (really $80 billion (yes, billion with a B) of only partially reported debt) and staunchly defends Mr. Kim with claims that I've yet to see from a credible source. This article is garbage.
