[edit] Secret KP project?

In Steve Loter's (creator of KP) blog http://sothefinale.blogspot.com/ theres a clue about some new KP stuff, could be worth mentioning on Wiki and worth discussing aswell. "... After that, I packed up my last box and headed off to my final meeting at another building regarding a Kim Possible project that is being worked on (and has been worked on for a while). I can not speak about it, but I think some of you clever guys will figure it out."

[edit] Episode Guide

How should it be organized? Airdate or Production? Jarwulf 04:27, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Episode List

There also appears to be a couple of episodes missing form the list. I have 67 on my list that i got off the Disney website. I'll add it to my to do list and check tomorrow. -Drmike 22:39, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Episode Guide

Anyone feel like expanding the current episode list into an episode guide? I am willing to help, but I can't remember what happened on every single episode. We should then also split it into a different article. -FlyingPenguins 19:19, 26 August 2005 (UTC)

I've begun fixing up List of Kim Possible episodes into something that can stand its own against whats available elsewhere on the web. Any suggestions? How should the list be organized? By Production or Airdate?

[edit] Gadgets, equipment, and machines in Kim Possible page

There are so many gadgets and equipment on this show, shouldn't their be a page on it all? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Forlong (talkcontribs) 01:02, 6 December 2006 (UTC).

In particular I think there should be more details on the battle suit. other than the Kimmunicator it's been her most often used tool, not only by her but by Ron and Larry as well, not to mention becoming an obssession of Dr. Dementor's--Tricksterson 13:50, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Press release

In case people haven't read it already, here is the full text of the season 4 promo press release.

""Kim Possible," the Emmy Award-winning Animated Series, to Resume Production for Fourth Season

Walt Disney Television Animation to Produce 22 More Episodes of International Comedy/Action Hit

BURBANK, November 29, 2005 - Disney's "Kim Possible" the animated hit comedy/action series from Walt Disney Television Animation, will resume production for a fourth season (22 new episodes), it was announced today by Gary Marsh, President, Entertainment, Disney Channel Worldwide.

A worldwide hit, "Kim Possible" is from multiple Emmy nominated creators/executive producers Bob Schooley and Mark McCorkle. Emmy nominee Steve Loter also returns as director and producer of the fourth season. "Kim Possible" is seen on Disney Channel, Toon Disney and the ABC Television Network's "ABC Kids" daypart.

Marsh said, "Mark, Bob, Steve and the entire team have delivered a great combination of comedy and action with an empowered female role model who uses her brain, heart and expertise to save the day."

Viewer's connection to "Kim Possible" has led to a successful off-TV franchise for The Walt Disney Company including Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable characters at Disney Parks & Resorts and Disney Consumer Product's line of "Kim Possible" branded products available at mass retailers nationwide.

Disney has entered into a multi-year agreement with Europe's strongest and widest reaching children's platform, Super RTL, which broadcasts "Kim Possible" and will, in coordination with Disney Consumer Products, be responsible for "Kim Possible" licensed product spanning multiple categories in Germany and other German-speaking countries. The license for "Kim Possible" branded home entertainment, interactive games and print categories will continue to be represented by Buena Vista Home Entertainment, Buena Vista Games and Disney Publishing. Super RTL is owned in equal shares by The Walt Disney Company and the RTL Group and reaches about 95 per cent of all the 35 million TV households in Germany.

The visually striking "Kim Possible," winner of one and nominated for eight Emmy Awards since its June 2002 premiere, tells the story of an average high school cheerleader, Kim Possible, who, in her spare time, happens to save the world from super villains. With the aid of her enthusiastic pal Ron Stoppable, his pet Naked Mole-rat Rufus, and their friend, the resourceful webmaster Wade, this contemporary heroine is capable in ways few high school students ever imagine. On the flipside, she realizes that defeating the bad guys comes easier than coping with the typical teen pressures of schooling and socializing.

Bob Schooley and Mark McCorkle said, "We are delighted that we have the opportunity to answer the fans who have demanded to know what happens to Kim and Ron after their "happily ever after."

Fourth season highlights, from McCorkle and Schooley, are:

It's senior year now, so the stakes are raised. Dating changes everything for Kim and Ron. As if first love isn't challenging enough, they have mean queen Bonnie Rockwaller trying to sabotage them at every opportunity. She just can't stand to see Kim happy, especially since her boyfriend, Brick, has graduated and gone off to college.

On missions, we'll introduce colorful new villains and bring back some favorite allies. Now that Wade has finally gotten out of his room, he'll be dropping in personally to present Kim and Ron with new inventions and techno gear. In one episode, when the crime gets personal, Monique suits up and jumps into action alongside Kim. Once she gets a taste of real action, Monique becomes a valuable asset to Team Possible with her fashion skills applied for undercover disguises.

At school, Kim's senior year social scene will take a turn for the cursed when her rambunctious genius brothers skip a few grades into Middleton High. Kim will meet a mysterious relative, whose appearance will force Kim to make a dramatic choice. We'll also see more of Ron's home life this season, as his only child status comes to an abrupt end. In addition to an Emmy Award and 8 nominations, the series other accolades are from the Parents' Choice Foundation, the International Animated Film Society's Annie Awards and Italy's 2003 Pulcinella Award for Best Program and Best TV Series for Children.

Actors providing the voices are Christy Carlson Romano as Kim Possible; Will Friedle as Ron Stoppable; Nancy Cartwright as Rufus; Tahj Mowry as Wade; Gary Cole as Dad; Nicole Sullivan as Shego; John DiMaggio as Drakken; Raven-Symone as Monique; Jean Smart as Mom and Kirsten Storms as Bonnie Rockwaller. The main title song is performed by Christina Milian.

"Kim Possible" airs daily (5:30 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel in the U.S. It also is televised weekdays (7:30 a.m., ET/PT) and weekends (3:00 and 4:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Toon Disney. On the ABC Television Network, it airs Saturday mornings (11:00 a.m., ET/10:00 a.m., PT) as part of the "ABC Kids" showcase"

So...they were done with all the storyboards by Nov. 2005? Wow, they work fast. =) Jumping cheese Cont@ct 00:00, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
No, they weren't. According to those working on the show, they weren't even done with writing scripts until spring 2006. However, they'd already shipped at least one or two sets of boards and timing sheets off to Korea for animation by then, and also had done the primary recording for several more episodes. It's a slow process, after all.
Even though Bob and Mark have already revealed that the show is ending and they are already starting to dismantle the office, I suspect that they won't be closing up shop completely until about two or three weeks before the finale airs. Even after they get the finished footage back from Korea, they still have to edit it, add sound effects and score, and do the ADR session for recording "incidentals," after all. [edit] QUOTES PAGE

The quotes page needs some help, guys. Come over to the quotes page for KP (link @ bottom of the page) and help with the following (most important to least):

  • #1: Merge the episode quotes into the character quotes by character (obviously) done.
  • Make the quotes in chronological order of season at least
  • Make sure the list of quotes are not too full. For example, Ron is so hilarious that his quote list is very unstructured. Try to make sure that there are not more than 2 quotes per list from any episode.
  • Give the list itself some order in terms of the importance of the character (that's why Kim comes before Ron and Drakken comes before Shego)
  • Make sure the quotes are real.
  • Make sure that the quotes match the episode that their listed for.
  • Make sure the quotes have proper grammar unless it is an exact quote with improper grammar in it.
  • Make sure that there are not any both unimportant and unfunny quotes in the list. Be careful here, because people disagree as to the meaning of those two words.

The procedure for a quote looks like this:

  • (asterix) person: [attitude if important] [reason for saying the quote if important] quote
    (break) next person:... -(episode) Season
  • list a quote according to the person who has the punchline or who is the subject of the quote, not who says the most.
  • Make the quotes short. I think it's OK to list just the punchline even if it doesn't make sense.

Who volunteers to help do that? When you're ready just go over to that page and help clean it up. Thanks. --=CJK= 15:43, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] KP Question

I just read in a Steve Loter interview that So The Drama was going to be live action but they decided not to and made Sky High instead. I also read that the animated So The Drama was screened at a theater in the Disney Studios. I thought this was interesting info and was wondering if you guys thought we should put it on the KP wikipedia page. Let me know!!! ;) --KPprincess 14:44, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

This is stuff that would be valid for putting in the STD page, but only if you can provide a Verifiable Source for it. Rdfox 76 16:30, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
If that's true, it makes you wonder why they would do a live-action movie of an (at the time) still running animated series. WAVY 10 16:18, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
Take a look at the Avatar the Last Airbender page on Wikipedia. There's a supposed live-action movie coming out, directed by that guy who directed "Lady in the Water" or whatever it was called.209.214.57.31 23:02, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Images in the Kim Possible article tree

OK, folks, I just spent an hour and a half adding Fair Use Rationales to a whole bunch of images in KP articles that got tagged for deletion because they didn't have any. I think I caught all the tagged ones, but I'm not certain, and I'm pretty sure there's a lot more that don't have FURs on them that haven't been tagged yet. I'm asking you, as a mini-community amongst the Wiki community, every time you hit a KP article in the next few days, check and make sure that all the images have a Fair Use Rationale. If they don't, create one that meets the requirements set out in Wikipedia:Image description page#Fair use rationale, so that we won't lose them! If you don't know how to do one, the template shown in that section is the preferred method; Template:Non-free use rationale explains what to put into each line of the template. Thanks in advance! Rdfox 76 22:36, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

Also, do NOT just remove the deletion notice from the main article; that won't stop the deletion, and just will leave everyone confused when the image disappears. The proper procedure is to go to the image, add the Fair Use Rationale, then remove the deletion tag from the image, and only THEN do you remove the deletion notice from the main article. Rdfox 76 23:04, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Series is Ongoing

Someone keeps saying the show is ended but its ongoing. Stop changing to ended.

First off, please always sign your talkpage posts with four tildes (~~~~).
Secondly, it depends on your meaning... production wrapped on the final episode a couple of weeks ago, according to Steve Loter's blog at http://sothefinale.blogspot.com . However, the final episodes have yet to air. I'm not sure what the appropriate project's guidelines are for ongoing vs. ended--anyone know? Rdfox 76 00:04, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
Reruns are not considered "ongoing". Yeah sure Star Trek is still being shown every weekend, but the show ended in 1969. Likewise Kim Possible has come to an end in 2007. - Theaveng 13:05, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Poor example since Star Trek has had numerous movie and television sequels/spinoffs.--Tricksterson 13:52, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
Yes but the actual television program called "Star Trek" ended in 1969. Look it up. It's done. Ended. Kaput. Ditto the television program called "Kim Possible".
Stop living in denial. - Theaveng (talk) 21:58, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] timeline and cronology

Shouldn't there a page on one of these? Or at least a section of a page? --Forlong 00:56, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

A timeline of what exactly? I think both the character and the show basically have timelines. --=CJK= 04:29, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

I did mean the timeline of the show. Forlong 22:28, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm also confused by timeline. The production timeline? Or the character history timeline? However, give it a shot and see how it looks. =) Jumping cheese 01:58, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Errors in Season 4 Production Codes?

Referencing: http://tv.disney.go.com/disneychannel/kimpossible/schedule - The first three seasons are run "in order" following the production code (101, 102... 301, 302...), but the fourth season being shown on Friday runs in an order that seems completely random: 401, 402, 403, 404, 405, 409, 411, 408, 407, 412, 410, 414, ... when following wiki's numbers.

On the other hand, it could be that Disney IS following the production code number (in their TV ads they claim to be showing episodes "in order"), and it is wikipedia that is wrong. I'm more inclined to believe Disney's claims of following the proper order, especially since the first three seasons were shown following the production code (101--405), and that wikipedia probably has the incorrect numbers. - Theaveng 13:41, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Wouldn't be the first time. Unfortunately, unless Disney or some other reliable source releases an accurate list of S4 production codes, we can't update them. Maybe we could make some indication that the ones in question are unconfirmed, but otherwise, we have to go with what the only citable source says. Rdfox 76 15:50, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
I put a link to the Disney schedule which they claim is shown "in order". I couldn't decide if I should use JPG or PNG format. Personally I like the PNG, because even though it's bigger, it doesn't suffer from the compression artifacts of the JPG. The JPG version is a little difficult to read. - Theaveng 15:54, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Another observation: Disney Channel is running season 4 "in order" during Friday's daylight hours, showing the Graduation Finale at 8pm, and then going "backwards" during the night hours (running the episodes in reverse order). Very odd behavior. ----- Oh well. By 9 p.m. tonight I will have every single Kim Possible episode on 5 Super VHS tapes. Sweet deal. Thanks Disney. - Theaveng 10:08, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fifth Season

Is there going to be a Fifth seaspn?-Crab182 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Crab182 (talkcontribs) 04:08, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

No. --NrDg 13:45, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
As I said in a thread directly below this one, I'd like to see that proofed somewhere since apparently that's just speculation based on the content of the latest 2 episodes which makes perfect sense but it's still speculation. Cat-five - talk 17:29, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Series ending

The statement about the series over (while it makes sense considering the content of the latest 2 episodes) seems to be more speculation than fact and should probably be removed unless it can be sourced. Cat-five - talk 17:26, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

It's over. Bob Schooley has said so; Mark McCorkle has said so; Steve Loter has said so and posted as much on his finale production blog; the entire production staff and creative team has been dispersed, with some taking jobs on other Disney projects, and others going elsewhere; the offices assigned to the production staff have been completely cleaned out (not done after StD) with Bob, Mark, and Steve having given away a lot of the stuff that was posted on the walls and such in them; and Bob and Mark have left Disney entirely and gone to develop a new project at Nickelodeon. The only reason you'll never get official confirmation from Disney that the series is over is simply because TV executives think children (their target market) are stupid enough that they won't catch on to the fact that there's no new episodes entering the rotation any more. It's very rare for a children's show to be OFFICIALLY cancelled, at least publicly; they just end production and keep rerunning it into the ground without any official word.
In short, it's over, and there's confirmation from enough independent sources that it probably doesn't actually need to be sourced, qualifying as "common knowledge." Rdfox 76 12:28, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Well unless the kids arent' stupid enough not to read Wikipedia but point taken that there's enough evidence that it doesn't need to be directly sourced. Cat-five - talk 23:51, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Opening theme

It should probably be noted somewhere in the article (infobox would make sense but might take up too much room) that originally the theme song was sung by Christy Carlson Romano before they changed to Christina Milian for it. Cat-five - talk 05:16, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Now THIS, I'd like to see a source for. It makes a modicum of sense, given that the theme is written in the first person, but still, I'd like to see support for this claim. Rdfox 76 12:29, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
I'll try to find a credible source for that. Cat-five - talk 23:50, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
That really wasn't the case, but she did appear in a Disney Channel music video with Milian early in the series. And I'm not talking about that video for "Say the Word." ---- DanTD 16:00, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] So the Finale

According to article 12 of Links normally to be avoided (WP:EL), blogs are permitted when written by a recognized authority. So the Finale is a production blog written by a senior member of the KP production staff (the father of KP). This clearly allows So the Finale to be linked to and referenced. perfectblue (talk) 18:43, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

I was referring to the edit ([1]) User:Collectonian made when he edited the American Dragon; Jake Long article. I'm sure that guideline was changed after he made that edit. Therefore, I'll revert my recent edit. And by the way, it seems to me that you need to calm down a bit when matters like this don't necessarily go your way. TrackFan (talk) 01:43, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Calm down? what gives you the impression that I am anything but calm? - perfectblue (talk) 15:00, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
The fact that you brought this onto the talk page gives me the impression that you are making (well, made) it a bigger deal than it actually is. TrackFan (talk) 17:00, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
