[edit] re: User:NiGHTS into Dreams... edit review

Hi NiGHTS,

I did a review of your past edits on WP and see that you have made many great contributions to Wikipedia, especially to game articles and the very important task of vandal fighting. I want to say thanks for all you have done!

One thing I did notice is that you forget to put in an 'edit summary' for about half of your edits. This is important for even small entries as it is one way that people can easily screen out vandalism and also see major and minor changes when looking at the 'history' tab of a page. Even typing 'fixed typo' or 'changed spelling' is helpful. You can see the page that explains the 'Edit Summary' here.

Just for your own information you might want to look at this page to see a summary of all the edits you have made. By typing your user name in the top box you can look at a summary of your edits.

In addition to the general importance of adding a edit summary, it is one thing that is often criticized when users apply to become administrators of Wikipedia. If that is something you might like to do someday (and as a great vandal fighter, you should), remembering to always add a brief summary will help you pass the review process. Thanks!--killing sparrows (chirp!) 02:58, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
