[edit] Importance?
Apart from its famous owner, there doesn't seem to be anything notable about this house. There are many 1000s of houses of houses of a similar age to this one in Scotland. Presumably it's only one of her properties, so is it really of importance? Britain.tv is hardly a credible source on history or architecture. --JBellis 20:15, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Granted, the house itself may not be notable, but what makes something such as this important is the history (past and pending) surrounding it. Given the iconic (read: notable) status of said current owner and her major contributions to literature and world-wide culture, this is an article worth saving and expanding. - It doesn't belong in the caetgory 'Historic houses in Scotland' as it has no historic claims that aren't true for the area in general and there doesn't seem to be a category for 'Houses belonging to famous people in Scotland' or similar.--JBellis 12:16, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Price
The article states that Rowling paid 600,000 for the house and that it's now worth 1.5 million. This source says that she paid 1.9 million when she purchased it in 2001. Exploding Boy 16:56, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
