Kilshanny

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[[Category:]]Kilshanny is a townland/village in the west of County Clare, in the Republic of Ireland.

It is a small village with only a pub (Kilshanny House or colloquially called "the Shop") and a church. St Augustine is the patron Saint of the Parish. There used to be a small shop ran by Mary and Kathleen Thynne but this has since closed. There is also a Primary School. It is a very central location being approx 3-4 miles from the following town/villages: Ennistymon Kilfenora, Lisdoonvarna, Doolin, Liscannor and Lahinch. Kilshanny is an ideal base for exploring all these places.
