Killer Instinct is a series of tournament fighting video games developed by Rareware.
The first game of the series, Killer Instinct, was an arcade game originally released in 1994. It was subsequently ported to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy consoles the following year. Its sequel, Killer Instinct 2, also debuted in the arcades, and was later ported to the Nintendo 64 console under the name Killer Instinct Gold.
It was rumoured that "Killer Instinct III" would be released by Microsoft for the Xbox 360, but it's still has yet to be confirmed.
