Kildangan (Cill Daingin in Irish) is a village in County Kildare in the Republic of Ireland. The village of 570 people lies close to the flood plane of the River Barrow, near the County Laois border.
Kildangan is home to the world famous Kildangan Stud, which was founded by the More O'Ferrells, on the site of Kildangan Castle. The grounds of the Stud contain a variety of rare ornamental trees and shrubs, and an abundance of woodland. Kildangan Stud was sold in 1986 to The Maktoum family, who invested large amounts of money to make Kildangan Stud one the leading stud farms in Europe.
