[edit] Speedy rename
Are there any opposition to speedy rename this article, particularly to Kiev Voivodeship or Kiev Voivodship? M.K. 11:21, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- I think a proper RM would be in order.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 03:05, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Why do we need to vote? Why can't we discuss and agree without the evil voting? WP:RM is the last, not the first resort. So, the current name is good because...? --Irpen 06:43, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- Would like to know motives why this invented name is applied to this article, as such name is not present nor in Google books nor in scholar, only Kiev Voivodship? M.K. 11:53, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
Kijów is alien to English language literature, speedy move is obvious. M0RD00R 13:36, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
Well, the Kiev is indeed better then Kijów in this context - article moved.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 02:24, 10 September 2007 (UTC)-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 02:24, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- Could you say, why you changed your opinion so suddenly? M.K. 09:26, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Good question. Piotrus, why did you move it Kiev Voivodeship? In English the name Kiev appeared around 1800s. Voivodeship by that time was gone. In Google neither Kijow Voivodeship nor Kiev Voivodeship provide many hits, but actually the former is a bit more popular. --Greggerr (talk) 00:52, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
