Ladies and gentlemen, this article is nice but significantly misleading, starting from the name. The text desribes the Kiev River Vokzal (i.e. the passenger station) which is now nearly rented out for offices and restaurants. Hence the photo.

If we want to develop the port, let's start from the beginnings:

  • we have at least two conventional "ports" in different locations and at least one "Kiev River Port" company operating/using them
  • we can reasonably say that the main "port" is in the Kiev Harbour, which is situated between western part of Podil and Rybalskyi Peninsula. That's where ships, docks and sailors are :)
  • there are various water transport objects elsewhere on Dnipro within the city.
