[edit] Referencing

The article could do with a few more independent references. And the claim about him being shot isn't covered in the sources provided so far. Also, I've been reading that he was shunned by the IRA leadership in later years and suffered from alcoholism. Any sources on this? Stu ^{’Bout ye!} 10:17, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

I agree it needs more work and references. I know that when he died he had gone through a very bad time - the article is listed in the "article in need of urgent attention" of the WP:IR project so that should being attention to this terribly poor article.--Vintagekits 10:19, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
