Kieran Crotty

Kieran Crotty (born 30 August 1930) was a former Irish Fine Gael party politician who served for thirty years as Teachta Dála (TD) for the constituency of Carlow-Kilkenny.[1]
Crotty was first elected to the 19th Dáil in the 1969 general election, and re-elected six times, in the 1973, 1977, 1981, February 1982, November 1982 and 1987 general elections. He did not contest the 1989 general election.[2]
He was elected as Mayor of Kilkenny for six one-year-terms between 1970 and 1995.[3]
