[edit] {{helpme}}
I read the guidlines on adding external links, which is the only content I have added so far, and it specifically states that a review is a valid external link. I added only links specific to the topic on the page. I am confused as to why the links were not in line with the Wiki policy. Please explain further, so that I can be sure to follow the policy in the future.
Thank you.
- Thank you for your question. I have reviewed your contributions that have been reverted. The links you added do not seem to be obvious SPAM to me. The first few contributions you were made were reverted by those involved with the articles in question. It is possible that those editors felt your links were out of context. Recently, however, I've noticed that your edits have been continuously reverted by the user SiobhanHansa (talk · contribs). I would suggest contacting that editor on their talk page in order to get their opinion on the links you've been adding and to find out why, exactly, they feel the links are inappropriate.
- I will leave the helpme template in place in hopes that someone with more external link experience will come along and offer their two cents. If you have any questions in the future, please feel free to ask again with the {{helpme}} template or you may contact me for advice :-). --Nick—Contact/Contribs 22:56, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

- Good call, Nick, thanks. :-)
- Kidstvmovies, the links you provided do appear to be valid contributions. The only reason I can think that they were considered inappropriate would be due to your username. WP:COI states that you should avoid (or at least use very great caution, i.e., give a very good reason for doing so) linking to websites with which you are associated. Your username implies a connection to that website, which in turn implies a conflict of interest, especially since your contributions so far have been limited to linking to that site. We try to have a neutral point of view on all our articles, and while it could easily be argued that your links were helpful, you may want to leave it to someone else to do... or at least discuss it with some other people beforehand, including SiobhanHansa. Thanks for your help, and thanks for calling for help rather than starting an edit war. Let me know if you have any questions about this. Hersfold (talk/work) 23:14, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
