[edit] Daily Nexus AfD nomination
Hi Kidicarus222--thank you for your comment on my Talk page about the Daily Nexus article and its AfD nomination. Actually, there are no hard and fast rules about what makes something "important" enough for Wikipedia, although the Wikipedia:Importance and Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not pages are good guides to the prevailing community consensus regarding encyclopedic content. Based on the article text, I was unsure about whether or not the subject was substantial enough to warrant its own separate entry. Therefore, I decided to open a discussion to get some community feedback. Certainly the nomination doesn't mean that the subject isn't a good one. Think of it more as an invitation to comment on whether or not an article about the Daily Nexus has broad enough appeal to be a meaningful encyclopedia entry. --Alan Au 06:22, 20 September 2005 (UTC)
- Oh, about the second question you had, hopefully the Wikipedia:Guide_to_Articles_for_deletion page will be able to provide some insight into how the Articles for Deletion process works. The Wikipedia:Help_desk is another great place to learn about Wikipedia procedures. Alternately, please feel free to contact me at my Talk page if you have any other questions. --Alan Au 06:36, 20 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Seiken Densetsu Elementals
G'day there. I'm a bit of a fan of the SD games like you seem to be, although I've been lying low on the Wiki for the past few months. You also seem to have a good deal of interest in the Elemental Spirits and the elementology of the series - perhaps what I love most about the game. Would you be interested in starting with me a separate Wikipedia entry for the Elementals to where we could move some (if not most) of the information about them on the SD games pages? I've been considering doing it for a while, and I felt it would be rude of me not to ask for your input. -LichYoshi 10:34, 8 October 2005 (UTC)
- In reply to your post on my talk page: I think the main challenge of starting the page would be finding a decent, memorable title for it. Seiken Densetsu Elementals is a bit long to keep typing out on the main game pages without adding in some sort of redirect, but to use something like Mana Elementals is a bit too vague a name, and to use the names of just one of the games would be too exclusive. Any thoughts on this? If it's alright with you, I'd like to create it and set up a talk page there where we can discuss setting it up further. Cheers. -LichYoshi 01:58, 9 October 2005 (UTC)

- In reply to your second post at the above: Alright, I've created the page at Elemental spirits (Seiken Densetsu); I thought it was a bit more concise and to the point than if Secret of Mana was included in the title. We could always create redirects from the other names. The page itself is a redirect to Seiken Densetsu currently, but the pagebuilding discussion is at Talk:Elemental_spirits_(Seiken_Densetsu). -LichYoshi 09:53, 9 October 2005 (UTC)
In reply to the picture post: Yes, what you've done so far is pretty much to my liking. I may make a few small changes here and there when I write for the other Elementals, though, but nothing major. I originally had that picture in mind, but I wasn't sure about the source of it at the time. I'll put it into the article now, thanks. ^^ -LichYoshi 00:54, 15 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Clawgrip
Hmm, now I'm not so sure if DK was first released in the US or Japan. I thought it was in the US, based on the book "Game Over," but the Wiki article makes it seem like the Japanese one came first. In either case, DK was developed in Japan, so if you're sure it was NOA not NLC that made Clawgrip, that would make him a US original. So, add it back if you like. --Carl 03:00, 9 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] User page vandalism
I've reverted the vandalism to your userpage by User:Seja430, however you apear to have made this edit to that user's page, which is vandalism. If you do similar things again you could get banned from editing Wikipedia. --Petros471 21:33, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Didion and Kinkade
Well, I had already heard by word-of-mouth, multiple times, the opinion that all of Kinkade's houses are on fire. I wanted to find a way to put that observation in the article, but I needed a reliable source. So I Googled some combination like Kinkade + "on fire", and your blog popped up with the quote. It was perfect, so thanks for providing it! Melchoir 22:05, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mario template

[edit] Re: "Removing NN site"?
I have noticed you have added the link to several pages, which I am removing. Please, do not add that link to those pages, as it has little to do with the main topic. In example, the Princess Peach article is about Princess Peach, thus only links to sites that inform about Princess Peach must be added. If you want to put your link somewhere, it may be better to add it to List of Mario series characters, as your link is a THE MARIO SERIES CHARACTER GUIDE, which fits the definition for the list. Adding the same link without asking to several pages is seen as an abuse. Note that the external links style guide states that you should not link to any site that does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article here would have once it becomes an example of brilliant prose. In other words, the information in the link you posted already appears in the article. Hope that clarifies the matter. -- ReyBrujo 03:34, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mario Series Character Guide
Are you still working on that character guide? --206.8.10.4 07:47, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, but it's been a long time coming. By the end of the summer, I hope to have an up-to-date version of the guide out. Kidicarus222 17:11, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] New Video Game Article
Hey! I saw that you created a new video game related article- consider joining the Computer and Video Games WikiProject! I have added your article to the list of new articles, and attributed it to you. --PresN 17:49, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Poochy
I redirected Poochy because he only appears in four games - Yoshi's Island, Tetris Attack, Yoshi's Story, and Yoshi's Island DS.
In Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's Story and Yoshi's Island DS, he is merely an element in the level, while in Tetris Attack, he is a minor main character (in a remake of Panel de Pon). Poochy has not had a major role and has only appeared in four games (not counting ports). - A Link to the Past (talk) 19:46, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
