Kidsongs was a series of Music Videos for children that were first released on home video produced by View-Master Video in the mid-1980s, then KidVision in the mid-1990s, and then finally Sony Wonder in the late 1990s, in associated with Warner Bros. Records until the mid-1990s and Together Again Video Productions Ltd. The home videos were edited and the songs were put into their own television show that was first aired in syndication in 1987 [1], then on NBC, then on Disney Channel in 1992. No new episodes of the show were produced until 1994, when public television relaunched the show. The show was officially cancelled in 1998. The 1994-1998 series was produced by WTTW Chicago, in association with Warner Bros. Records for seasons 1 and 2, Sony Wonder for season 3 and Together Again Video Productions Ltd., and syndicated by American Public Television. All of the original Kidsongs videos from the NBC/Disney Channel series were used in the public television series, as well as videos that were specifically made for the public television series.
The TV show depicted the kids from the music videos running a TV studio and making the show, in which the music videos were played, however the story behind how they acquire the studio has changed from version to version. In the NBC and Disney Channel version, the kids find an abandoned TV station where the show is produced. In the public TV version, the kids go to their local TV station and ask permission to use one of their studios.
Fictional characters on the show included Billy Biggle and later Ruby Biggle as hosts. These hosts, (only used in the public television series) depicted as being smaller than the kids, were costumed characters who, by the magic of chroma key, are shrunk and superimposed on the scene.
The Opening Credits, were re-done every season, to show the new kids, and later the Biggles. The only time the Opening Credits were not re-done was in season 4, when the opening credits were taken out of the series.
Reruns were shown up to 2001, Kidsongs kept its same time-slot the entire series run, however in 1997 it took turns during the year sharing the slot with Wimzie's House until 2001 when both shows stopped airing. Seasons 1-3 were often shown re-running in order of production, however season 4 was only re-run once in between the 3 years of re-airings. Most of Season 4's Episodes were put on VHS however. The first and only season 4 re-run were the last episodes to be aired on public television until the show was removed.

The Movie TV Series Starring The Kidsongs Graduates
Note: Season 4 was not like the regular series; instead it consisted of the home videos being shown in their original format {the reason for no opening credits etc.}
Another Note: There was a large gap between the second and third seasons, as the deal with Warner Bros. Records ended. In August 1997, before season 3, Sony Wonder agreed to co-produce and distribute the home videos and co-produce the public television series with Together Again Productions Ltd. One difference was that on the end credits of Warner Bros. Records produced episodes, they are listed as owning the KIDSONGS Trademark and co-copyright. On the end credits of Sony Wonder Produced episodes, Together Again Productions Ltd. is listed as owning the KIDSONGS Trademark and Sony Wonder is not listed in the copyright.
