Kidagakash "Kida" Nedakh is a fictional character from the 2001 movie Atlantis: The Lost Empire and the 2003 sequel Atlantis: Milo's Return. Princess Kida is the 8,500-year-old Princess of Atlantis. She is voiced by Cree Summer in both movies. Despite her origin, she is not part of the Disney Princesses franchise
Centuries before the start of the movie, a giant explosion causes a massive tsunami to wash over the thriving city of Atlantis. The city's giant robot guardians are able to create a shield to protect the inner city, but those outside are lost to the waves as the city sinks below the water's surface. While Kida and her parents run to find shelter, her mother, the Atlantean Queen, is called to the crystal in order to protect the city and keep the barrier. She is lifted up to the large crystal, where she then bonds with it.
Centuries later, the once great city is now in disrepair. When outsiders from above ground find the city, Kida befriends the explorer Milo, whose quest was to find Atlantis. Around her neck, she wears the Atlantean. She tells Milo that the crystal keeps her and her people alive. It guides her whenever she takes to swimming in the underwater ruins of old Atlantis.
Kida's father, King Kashekim Nedakh, does not trust the outsiders. Kida believes they will be able to help her people, but the king disagrees. When Commander Rourke shows his true nature, the king is gravely injured when he refuses to tell Rourke the location of the crystal. The king later dies from his injuries.
Kida is later called to the crystal, much like her mother was, when it "sensed" the city was in danger. However, Kida returns from within the crystal, unlike her mother.
At the end of the movie, Kida succeeds her father as Queen and marries Milo as her new King. Together they start to rebuild Atlantis.
In Milo's Return, Kida helps in the surface world and finds the Spear of Destiny. With the spear she lets people on the surface find Atlantis.
