April Fool's Day is ridiculous and annoying, not to mention incredibly unfunny.

You may notice this is my first logged-in edit in a couple of months. Basically, my job told me that I can no longer edit WP, as it is technically a competitor, in that people look for sports information on WP. While I don't agree 100%, and while there's little chance anyone at work would even find my username, I'd still rather not risk it. I love my job, and while I love WP, it's not like I'm going to stay at ESPN forever (or, if I do, y'all will just have to live without me).

My email is still enabled on the left-hand side, and just because I'm not editing with this username doesn't mean I'm not using and reading WP- hell, I still check out the Signpost every week and look at RfAs, FACs, etc. I wish everyone here the best, as I always have and always will.

A few administrators you should go to if you need help, not just because they're sysops, but because they're excellent people and brilliant WP contributors whom I greatly respect (this is in no way a complete list, nor is it in any specific order): JoshuaZ, Earle Martin, NawlinWiki (whom I was happy to nominate for adminship), Firsfron (whom I was happy to have nominated me), Starblind, Coredesat, and Extraodinary Machine.

Lastly, I'm not officially resigning my adminship- it's not as if I've done anything controversial to warrant that action, and I can't imagine anyone hacking my account. If they do, you'll obviously know it wasn't me (or you can just email me if you have questions). Of course, if a steward were to remove my admin rights, I'd imagine nobody would object to me getting them again were I return to editing.

I think that's it. Is that it? Yeah, that's it. To everyone doing a great job of helping Wikipedia reaching its ultimate goal of providing all of the knowledge in the world to all of the world's inhabitants free of charge, I say: Keep on keepin' on.
