Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff is the Nintendo DS adaptation of Tecmo Super Bowl[3] developed and published by Tecmo, due for release in the Fall of 2008.[1] A Wii version was announced, to be released in 2009.

The game will feature the following improvements and changes to the original game:[1]
- Customizable teams: players will now be able to choose team colors, emblems, player names, team cities and abilities
- Super abilities: players can use power-ups during the game
- Customizable playbook: players will be able to create their own plays and playbook
- Cutscenes: certain plays will cause cinematic representations of the play
The game will feature Wi-Fi and wireless multiplayer, and will utilize the touch screen and stylus. The game will also have updated music and sound effects as well.
