Kickin' Out the Footlights...Again is an album by American country music artists George Jones and Merle Haggard. It was recorded during the summer of 2006 and released on October 24, 2006 on the Bandit Records label. The first song on the album exeplifies the duo's years of touring. The lyrics, "There's still no place to go to when it's over" explains how the drug induced alcoholic duo have felt about the hours after the show in the combined 80 plus years of touring. "Born with the Blues", an original cut on this album, describes how the youth of the two lead to the lifestyles they chose on tour. Specfically, George Jones's words "despite of the cocaine, despite of it all, god gave me a woman to cushion the fall" exposes his reliance on his current wife for releasing his previous addictions. Alcoholics and addicts all over can relate to the truth in this album.
