Kiana does not mean "calm water" in Hawaiian. Which words could that possibly derive from? If the information comes from the name-bearer, the sentence should read: "Kiana Todd claims that her name means calm water in Hawaiian".

Kiana has been used as a Hawaiian form of Diana. It would be interesting to know why it became so popular in the mainland.Makaokalani 13:17, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
