From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kianda School in Nairobi, Kenya was the first multi-racial educational establishment for girls in East Africa. It was started by the Kianda Foundation in 1977 with 40 students, following demand from alumni of Kianda Secretarial College. Kianda School now has a capacity for 900 girls.[1] The first principal was Olga Marlin.

Kianda is a day school for girls with both Primary and Secondary sections.

In 2005 the school's KCSE results placed it in the national top 10. [2] [3]
