Kiana is a city in Northwest Arctic Borough, Alaska, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 388.

Kiana is located at 66°58′18″N, 160°25′49″W (66.971720, -160.430168)[1].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 388 people, 97 households, and 77 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,608.9 people per square mile (624.2/km²). There were 133 housing units at an average density of 551.5/sq mi (214.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 6.70% White, 92.53% Native American, 0.26% Asian, and 0.52% from two or more races. 0.77% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 97 households out of which 46.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.4% were married couples living together, 16.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.6% were non-families. 18.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 4.00 and the average family size was 4.45.

In the city the population was spread out with 44.6% under the age of 18, 9.8% from 18 to 24, 22.4% from 25 to 44, 16.8% from 45 to 64, and 6.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 22 years. For every 100 females there were 136.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 138.9 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $39,688, and the median income for a family was $41,667. Males had a median income of $31,250 versus $35,938 for females. The per capita income for the city was $11,534. About 5.6% of families and 11.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 9.1% of those under age 18 and 12.5% of those age 65 or over.
