Khusrobagh

Khusrobagh is a locality/township of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated near the Allahabad Junction Station and is famous for the historical tombs of Khusru, the son of Emperor Jahangir of the Mughal Empire, and the tombs of his sisters and mother. The tombs are architectural marvels depicting medieval artistry and Mughal architectural design and are surrounded by the beautiful Mughal Gardens. This historical destination attracts a large number of tourists for its serene beauty and its historical importance.

Khusru, the son of Emperor Jahangir had made many unsuccessful attempts to assassinate his father and take the reins into his own hands. Khusru was eventually murdered by his own brother, Shah Jahan, after he became Shah. The Mughal Garden enclosure is entered through an 18m-high archway.
