Khurāṇā

Khurāṇā is a village lying seven kilometres east of the city of Sangrūr in the district of Sangrūr on the Sangrūr - Paţīālā in the Indian state of Punjab. This particular village was visited by Gurū Hargobind during his travels during 1616CE coming from Akoi and stayed sometime close to the village pond (or as commonly called in Punjab tank) southeast of the village where the gurdwara Gurdūārā Sāhib Pātshāhī Chhevī now stands as a testimony to this visit.
Khurana is also a caste in India. Khurana's belong to mostly Sikh and Hindu Origins. It generally applies to the people hailing from portions of North India and the Undivided Hindustan (encompassing present-day Pakistan). Khurana's belong to Khatri ethnic group and come under Arora clan .
