Khormuj is a the center-city of Dashti county of Bushehr province. Located 84 Km South East of city of Bushehr, Khormuj is a town with a cluster of nearby villages such as Jaqapu, Derazi, Miankhoreh, and Zayer Abbas. The population is guessed at about 20,000 including its cluster vilalges. People are mainly farmers with the main product being dates.
Notable people of Khormuj include Khalou Hossein who fought British invadors circa 1915.
