This is an image from a postcard that was produced sometime during the Czarist Russia era. It is an image of a Buddhist temple that was built to honor the Kalmyk calvarymen that fought in the War of 1812. Its architectural style is derived from the Kazan Cathedral in St. Petersburg, Russia.
