[edit] Early life

Thomas was born in Anchorage, Alaska, the son of Raquel and Leon Thomas, an army officer who at the time was stationed in Alaska.[1] Khleo's mother is a Jewish immigrant from Morocco and his father is African-American.[2][1] After living in Germany, the family returned to the United States when he was four.[1] He has three younger siblings, Khadeem (1992), Khameel (1999) and Khaleea (2003). When he was four years old, he saw a television commercial and decided to pursue an acting career, which was encouraged by his mother.

[edit] Film and television

Thomas's first television appearance was on an episode of Bill Cosby's Kids Say the Darndest Things, and he has since starred in such films as Holes, Friday After Next, Walking Tall and Roll Bounce. During production, his fellow actors sometimes call him "Li'l Khlee Khlee." On set of the movie Roll Bounce, he and the rapper Bow Wow began working together, and now do so more frequently because of Khleo's deal with LBW Entertainment.

He guest-starred in Poppin' Tags, an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2006. He also co-starred in the first episode of the television series Teachers, which was canceled after six episodes.

[edit] Music

Khleo starred in the 2003 Disney film Holes, adapted from Louis Sachar's novel of the same name. One of the movie's songs, Dig It, earned him some popularity in the music world. He appeared in Bow Wow's Fresh Azimiz music video, and performed alongside him on the Scream IV Tour, the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards in 2006, the The Tyra Banks Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, 106th and Park and the 25th Annual BET Anniversary pre-show. He has also starred in two tracks on Bow Wow's Price Of Fame album, How You Move It and Bet That. Prince of the West, Khleo's debut album, is due for release in the summer of 2007 via his MySpace page. He's rumored, along with other various artists, to be collabrating on Young Rome's second album True to my Word. He supposedly features on a track called West Coast. The album is due for release by late 2007.

On the artist Miss Nana's album, I Got the Hood, Volume 1, she wrote a song called The Shakim Khleo Drop/Let it Rain, obviously referencing her LB Dub crew.
