This plan was originally drawn & annotated in German for the journal ZDPV (Zeitschrift des Deutschen Palastina-Vereins) in 1975 (band 91, heft 1, Abb. 1). Another version was drawn & annotated in French for the journal Revue Biblique in 1977 (vol. 84 #3, July). I redrew it today with English annotations, combining features from each of the earlier publications, with consent from the archeologist, Karel Vriezen, who brought it to my attention, & asked me to promote it in conjunction with the LMLK seal found there. Most scholars are not aware that the site was extensively surveyed as witnessed by its ommision from the standard reference work, NEAEHL ("New Encyclopedia of Archaeological Excavations in the Holy Land"), published in 1993.
