Khetlal is located at 25.0250° N 89.1333° E . It has 19073 units of house hold and total area 142.6 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Khetlal has a population of 106146. Males constitute are 51.74% of the population, and females 48.26%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 50618. Khetlal has an average literacy rate of 25.2% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. [2]
