Khemis Dades is a locality of the province of Ouarzazate.

The commune of Khemis Dades which holds its name of that of the day of the souk which is Thursday, (Khemis into Berber and Arabic) and of the name of the Dades valley, consists of several villages or douars. Each village bears the name of the tribe which lives it.

Among these tribes, one can quote these tribes:

  • Boulmane Has
  • Bouhrrou Has
  • Alouane Has
  • Boubker Has
  • Tansghart

Khemis Dades is equipped with a modern infrastructure which does not have anything to envy a large city. It indeed lays out of a post office, of a dispensiare, several primary schools and of a college named "College Sidi Bouyahia" relative with a saint who is buried in one of the cemeteries of the commune. However, one can note an obvious lack of infrastructures for the practice of the sport.

The Festival of Me goun Dadès is organized annually which comprises subjects relative to various sets of themes, like cinematographic projections, artistic evenings and other sporting and cultural programs.
