Khaled Athimni is a Tunisian virtuoso metal guitarist that combines influences from Classical music, exotic music and neoclassic metal. Khaled was born in Tunis, Tunisia. He started to play guitar at 16 years old after getting his first lessons from his friend and Khalil Nawali. Khaled was very much self taught from the learning licks of his favorites players. Very soon he started to play in some local bands like Black Angels (Bass guitar player), HolyVic (Lead Guitar)... However, he continued to evolve in various music styles such as blues, exotic metal, heavy metal... But the biggest inspiration at this time came to him from classical music of course works of masters (Bach, Brahms, Paganini, Vivaldi...) and traditional exotic music. 18 February 2002 his friend Khalil (Carthagods’s lead guitar) passed away. Mars 2002 Khaled joined the band Carthagods and replace Khalil Nawali as lead guitar player in the band.
