[edit] Check in Russian language wiki

Could someone who reads Russian look for links for this author in the Russian language Wiki? Also the Pulkovskaya Observatory. I'm not sure if it is standard practice to link between languages in Wikipedia, but I found very little source material on either in English.

He is not very popular in Russian-language sources either. Only about 65 Google hits. As to the Pulkovskaya Observatory, look at Pulkovo Observatory. Colchicum 21:34, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks Colchicum! That was quick. It's so amazing working on Wikipedia and having people just turn up with answers the same day. Birdbrainscan 04:15, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Credentials

I've corrected his credentials - he might be the head of the space research laboratory - but the webpage of the observatory doesn't support this. It is not unusual to "boost" credentials in news-articles in the former east-block (but this might be my personal bias - so feel free to argue). But hopefully someone can find a good source for it. Nb. i could not find a reference on the Russian Academy of Sciences that lists him as a member. --Kim D. Petersen 01:15, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Changing some stuff

The guy is a physicist. He has a doctorate in physics, he has publications, he does research in a russian physics laboratory. Seems like some people think it's worth attacking the person because they disagree with his opinions. The fact that he's a global warming skeptic automatically disqualifies him from being a scientist right ? Geez. --Helixdq (talk) 10:31, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
