Khawaja

Khawaja or Khwaja (Arabic: خواجة khawājah, Persian: خواجه khavâje) is a title used in Middle East and South Asia. It is also used as family name in South Asia.

Those who have had the surname within their family for Generations are mostly of a Higher Class Kashmiri descent, And this surname has served within the most popular and powerful political activities in south Asia.

Pakistan’s first Governor General was Khawaja Nazimudin along with Muhammad Ali Jinnah. While Khawaja Nazimudin resigned as Governor General to become the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty was born in 1141 and died in 1230 CE, also known as Khwaja Gharib Nawaz was a Sunni Muslim[citation needed] and is the most famous Sufi saint of the Chishti Order of South Asia. He was born in 536 A.H./1141 CE, in Sajistan, Khorasan (other accounts say Isfahan) in Persia. He is also known as "Sultan-e-Hind" Descendants of Sufi saints also use this as a prenomial, although some now use it as a surname.

Khawaja Saad Rafique was born on November 4, 1962 at Lahore. He has been elected as MNA for his first term. He is politically affiliated with PML(N) and holds the office of General Secretary of the party for the Punjab province. and is the Current Federal Minister for Pakistan.


Khawaja (clan) They are people of noble background and held important positions within many different Asian countries. There is a confusion of their origin, but Khawaja can trace their linage back to Abu Baker, because his companion was named Khawaja. Though these people have been around a lot longer. They may have been people of Warrior descendant, this has been proven.

During the Persian Empire they have prominent roles and seen as LORDS. It is hard to trace their exact where about, but they have also helped to spread the Islamic religion through Sufism.

They have played important roles through centuries in Asia. They are an Enigma.
