Khanqah Dogran

Khanqah Dogran is city of Nankana Sahib District in the Punjab province of Pakistan.

It is located at 31°49'54N 73°37'23E[1] on the Sargodha to Sheikhupura Road, around fifteen miles west of Farooqabad. This city is known as workshop of autos. There are many auto workshops in the region. After Nankana Sahib became a District, Khanqa Dogran along with Safdarabad have both been included as cities of the new District of Nankana Sahib.

Khanqah Dogran was formerly part of Sheikhupura District, upon the creation of the district in 2005 there were five days of protests in the town, whose residents opposed inclusion in the new district, during the protests a mob burnt down a police station[2]

Khnqah means graves so khanqah dogran means "graves of dogars".

Dogars are natives of this area and this whole land was possessed by them. Now there are two branches of the Dogar family, Mian Dogars and Sardar Dogars. Both are active in politics. From Mian family Mian Mushtaq Dogar Ex MPA PPPP is prominent and from Sardar family Sardar Muhammad Asif Dogar Ex Deputy Tehsil Nazim PML(N) is eminent. But from 2001 Sardar Asif Dogar along with Mian Mushtaq was very active against the attachment of Khanqah Dogran in Nankana sahib Distt.
