Khanna (name)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Khanna is a prominent clan from the Khatri community of the Punjab region straddling Northern India and Pakistan. It is common to both, Punjabi Hindu and Sikh families.
Today, Khannas largely reside in the states of Punjab and Haryana. Many have migrated to Uttar Pradesh and other northern states. This clan has also spread to other parts of the world.
Khannas are believed to have descended from a certain Khatri names Khan Chand.
There is evidence of Khannas migrating to the United States as early as 1920. Census records show a Khanna family in Nebraska.
