Queen Khamphoui was born in Luang Phrabang, Laos on July 12, 1912. She is reported to have died in a re-education camp near Sop Hao on December 12, 1981.
On August 7, 1930, she married King Savang Vatthana and they had seven children, Crown Prince Vong Savang, Prince Sisavang, Prince Savang, Prince Sauryavong Savang, Princess Savivanh Savang, and Princess Thala Savang.
As Queen of Laos, she attended with her husband when they attended public events and ceremonies and took her role seriously.
Her husband abdicated the throne on December 2, 1975. She died in an internment camp in northern Laos along with her husband and their son Crown Prince Vong Savang in a Communist re-education camp probably around Sop Hao.
