The station went on the air as KLDI on 1985-11-01. On 2002-03-25, the station changed it's call sign to KRRR. On 2002-04-01 to KKHI. On 2003-12-01 to the current KHAT. Prior to obtaining its current format, the station carried an Oldies format.[2]
