KGNC is a radio broadcast service in Amarillo, Texas, U.S.A.. It operates KGNC (AM) and KGNC-FM. It is owned by the Morris Communications Company since acquiring the Amarillo Globe-News Publishing Company in 1972. KGNC was formed when the Amarillo Globe-News Publishing Company purchased two radio stations, WDAG and KRGS. WDAG was the first radio station in Amarillo. On December 24, 1958, KGNC created the first FM broadcast in the Amarillo region.
KGNC also used to be the call letters of today's NBC television affiliate KAMR until the 1970s when it was sold off.
As of 2006, KGNC-FM airs country music. While, KGNC-AM broadcast news and provides syndicated radio talk show programs such as The Rush Limbaugh Show.
