[edit] Kgf0
Do you think maybe we should start a new page on light sources, since beamline is about beamlines, like components on a beam pipe? Maybe include a seperate topic like the end of an accelerator, END STATIONS? Experimental beamlines, as I think that is what you are saying, experimental facility beamlines for users?
[edit] Sexual slang
I replied to your message on my talk page, just in case it doesn't notify you for a usertalk subpage. User:Purplefeltangel/sig 23:31, 18 October 2005 (UTC)
- It does, so long as I have it watched, which I do. --Kgf0 23:46, 18 October 2005 (UTC)
I believe that The Literate Engineer would like to enlist your support for implementing Freakofnurture's suggestion from Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of sexual slang/2005-10-18. Uncle G 10:26, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] AfD aka VfD on Philosophical interpretation of classical physics
We could use your opinion on this article at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Philosophical interpretation of classical physics
I have nominated as original research but feel that it is important to solicit additional opinions on the matter before an administrator is forced to make a decision. As I mention in the discussion on the [[AfD page - I think the underlying idea - to discuss the impact of classical Newtonian physics has had on other discpiplines and the impact that QM should (but in many cases has not fully) had on those same disciplines - is an interesting one; however, I need help in determining if existing article should be the starting point for such a discussion (or if this topic is covered elsewhere). [edit] Irregardless
Thanks a lot for your input and editing, I am very impressed by your knowledge. The suggestions and changes you made were helpful and necessary and I tried my best to rectify the mistakes you pointed out. I know the article still has a way to go... Itaylor35 06:00, 4 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject General Audience
Hiya. I'd like to invite you to join Wikipedia:WikiProject General Audience, which is working toward making all articles accessible. Currently Wikipedia:Make technical articles accessible is fairly controversial (see the talk page and the village pump discussion); I think merging Special relativity for beginners with Special relativity will be contentious and difficult to carry out well. The current situation is a compromise, but in my opinion it's better than the alternatives now available to us. ‣ᓛᖁᑐ 22:25, 17 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] [Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Sturmgrenadier]
hi, there is an organized campaign to save the above self-promotional vanity games-club page from deletion.... i'm wondering if you'd be willing to take a look and voice your opinion? normally i wouldnt care but (a) i hate organized campaigns from groups of users (especially when they have vested interests but dont declare them) and (b) when challenged about it, they suggested i try it myself! so here i am.... cheers! [edit] move User:82.25.172.79 comment from User:Kgf0 to Talk
Solihull Sixth Form College has Nothing to do with solihull school so why did you redirect it there? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.25.172.79 (talk • contribs) .

[edit] "POV" tag in section of Alex Cockburn article
Since you asked my opinion on removing this tag, here it is. I would agree to it on one condition: that the section rebutting the last claim of anti-Semitism (the paragraph that currently starts with "It is worth noting, however") stays in the article, in some form or other.
Now, obviously, neither you nor anyone else can guarantee this, so I'm just going to sit on this one for now. Anyhow, thanks for asking. +ILike2BeAnonymous 01:27, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hi!
Hi Kgf0!
I've just added my name to the list at the Buddhism Portal. I'd like to get involved, creating, editing, whatever needs doing! If there's anything you think I could help with, please let me know, either on my talk page or by email (user dot rentwa at googlemail dot com). Rentwa 22:09, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
- To be honest, I haven't been active in editing the Buddhism project in quite some time. However, if you're looking fo rthings to do, it seems like there's quite a lot listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Buddhism#To-do. --KGF0 ( T | C ) 01:50, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

- Thanks. My first impression is that the Buddhism project is quite inactive in general - the project manager seems to be away with no word on when he'll be back and no deputy to look after things while he's absent (or are deputies a very un-wiki thing?) My main interest is Zen and Zen stories - if there's anything like that on the list I might have a go.
-
- I appreciate your remarks on 'modern', also thanks for the 'cruft' link on your user page - I've never come across it before - also led me to 'kipple' - I've always admired 'Blade Runner' (especially Rutger Hauer's final superman speech) - I think it's time I tried some of his books. (Love Amis' early novels, btw, but think he lost it on Money/London Fields bloatfests.) Rentwa 12:05, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The non stub
Generally yes. An article is no longer a stub to me when it looks like the article in question. Good work :) SynergeticMaggot 15:58, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Musicians

[edit] Catullus 16
Please read my comments on the talk page regarding the translation. I wouldn't want a bad translation transferred to Wikisource. I've read that poem many times, made reference to it many times, translated it many times. I took a graduate class on Catullus at a highly rated classics department in the northern Midwest. I think I'm an expert when it comes to translating Catullus 16. All I want is a chance to have a good translation put up here, and I'm confident I can do it. I've already done a decent one, it's in the history. Let me know what you think about all of this. Billy Blythe 23:29, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
- I can back up User:Billy Blythe's translation. I crossreferenced it with other translations available online, looked up each word in two dictionaries, and looked up some of the more complicated grammatical constructions. I will bet anything that it is the best translation available on the internet. Sophy's Duckling 00:26, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank you both for your cooperation and support. We didn't have an edit war at all. The Wiki concept really worked here, and I'm amazed. Congrats to you both. It's a good article, considering how much information there is about Catullus. Billy Blythe 14:17, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Total re-write of the main Physics page is in progess
You might like to join us at Physics/wip where a total re-write of the main Physics page is in progess. At present we're discussing the lead paragraphs for the new version, and how Physics should be defined. I've posted here because you are on the Physics Project participant list. --MichaelMaggs 08:04, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Tibetan
I keep forgetting your nyingmapa connection for some reason; really need to sit down and kibbits with you someday about all that. Up for it? Though I'm mostly in Portland these days. I'm in Nova Scotia this instant at a retreat center though. But back in the bay area at some point this spring... - Owlmonkey (talk) 02:58, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Someday, sure. Meanwhile, short answer is Penor Rinpoche. --KGF0 ( T | C ) 00:13, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
- Have you gone to any of his summer one-month programs of late? I was often tempted, but there are so many good ways to practice I'm pretty busy already. - Owlmonkey (talk) 06:54, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
- I was a regular from 1999-2001, but I've only visited one weekend since. The instruction and immersion at the level of Inner Tantra (Maha/Anu/Ati) is, or at least was then, unparalleled in the U.S., with the possible exception of Gyaltrul Rinpoche's Yeshe Nyingpo. --KGF0 ( T | C ) 12:55, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- The shambhala sangha is increasingly receiving the inner dzogchen instruction, and we're all about to start doing vajrakilaya at a certain point in our practice path. Before the karma kagyu vajrayogini/chakrasamvara cycle was our main sadhana; now they will have equal footing. Though to be fair we already had another dzogchen sadhana that was popular. It's quite wonderful to see more and more of it coming to the west. - Owlmonkey (talk) 18:46, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Buddhism in Mongolia
Dear members of WikiProject Buddhism!
As I can see that Buddhism in Mongolia has got many problems (sources, spelling mistakes, grammar, etc). Please help me to fix it together.
Thank you so much! Best wishes to you!
