KGFC is a religious FM radio station based out of Great Falls Montana broadcasting on 88.9 MHz. It primarily carries Christian programming, including news and music. The station broadcasts a radio network known as Your Network of Praise. The network services translators throughout the states of Montana, Wyoming, and more recently, into parts of Idaho. The station originates from programming on parent station KXEI in Havre, Montana.

[edit] Network history

Your Network of Praise began in 1983 with a single radio station known as KXEI on 95.1 and served northern Montana with a 100,000 watt signal. The station gradually added more translators to its area of service. In 1991 KXEI also began rebroadcasting it's signal on an AM station in Helena, Montana known as KVCM, which also began simulcasting itself on the FM band under the same call sign in 1993.

In 1994, the network began broadcasting on satellite, and was then able to extend it's translators all over the northwest United States. KGFC's number of translators continued to grow over the next several years, particularly in Montana. KGFC came on air in the Great Falls area in 1996, and serves ten translators in the state of Montana and one in Wyoming.

The network began expanding into Wyoming in March of 2003, with a station in Gillette, KAXG and a station in Rock Springs K204EC (which originates from KGFC). The Sheridan affiliate of the network, KOHR began broadcasting in August of 2005. More recently, KGFC's network has expanded it's network into parts of Idaho, and continues adding more translators. KGFC and it's network is owned by Hi Line Radio Fellowship.[1]
